The City
Spring is a wonderful time of year to grab a light jacket and stroll around our Nation’s Capital. If you stroll along the Tidal Basin, you may even glimpse the first cherry blossoms.
If you have never seen the World War II Memorial at night, it is an inspiring experience to see it lit up. Maya Lin’s Vietnam War Memorial is also hauntingly beautiful at night. Take the opportunity to stand in the juncture of the two walls and look right and left to see the direction the memorial guides your view.
The 19 museums and galleries that make up the Smithsonian provide endless opportunities to learn and explore – and don’t forget the National Zoological Park. The recently completed Capitol Visitor Center offers even more incredible opportunities to tour one of the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world.
Join us in Washington, DC, for DMA in DC 2013… and so much more!
